ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONA AC WLNK (THE LINK)/CHARLOTTE’s nationally syndicated morning show, “BOB & SHERI,” once again helped make coming home for the holidays memorable for nearly 4,000 troops. The UNITED SERVICE ORGANIZATION’s (USO) annual OPERATION EXODUS broadcast aired YESTERDAY, including on-air interviews with many of the returning service men and women.
Supporting men and women in uniform is something that BOB LACEY and SHERI LYNCH have always made a priority, welcoming troops as they transit through the CHARLOTTE airport on their way home for the holidays.
Commented LYNCH, “It's one thing to talk about service and sacrifice, but when you meet these soldiers and hear their stories, you realize the magnitude of their commitment. Knowing that they've chosen to serve is humbling. It's a real privilege to help make their journey home a joyful one.”
The “BOB & SHERI” show, which airs nationally on over 50 stations and ARMED FORCES NETWORK, helped provide smiles, gratitude and breakfast to 3,900 plus men and women returning from deployment and heading home to family and friends. Many of the troops traveling for OPERATION EXODUS are fresh out of basic training and returning home for their first visit since enlisting.
