Howard Stern 'Whack Packer' Joey Boots Dies Over the Holiday

HOWARD STERN "Whack Pack" personality JOEY BOOTS, a longtime and frequent contributor to STERN's radio show, passed away in his BRONX home on FRIDAY, DEC. 23rd, CNN reports. BOOTS, 49 (real name: JOSEPH BASSOLINO) was found unconscious and unresponsive with no apparent trauma. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

BOOTS popularized the phrase "Baba Booey" by shouting it on the show and also behind reporters during live news broadcasts across NEW YORK CITY. He also had a live podcast called "The JOEY BOOTS Show" on FRIDAY nights.
