LAKE COUNTRY RADIO, L.P. is selling Religion KLVQ-A and K233BE/ATHENS, TX and Coutry KCKL/MALAKOFF, TX to MONTE SPEARMAN and GENTRY TODD SPEARMAN's HPRN RADIO NETWORK, LLC for $250,000 and an LMA before closing.
In other filings with the FCC, JIMMY JOHNSON's JOHNSON BROADCAST VENTURES, LTD. is selling Urban Oldies-Gospel WCBT-A/ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC to JIMMIE BELL's BELL MEDIA BROADCASTING LLC for $150,000.
FOREVER MEDIA's FM RADIO LICENSES, LLC has closed on the sale of Contemporary Christian WPKV (K-LOVE)/DUQUESNE-PITTSBURGH, PA and translators W288BO/PITTSBURGH and W244BR/SPRINGFIELD, OH to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $6.7 million under a 2009 option. EMF has been programming WPKV under the option/LMA since 2009. W244BR will be moved to rebroadcast WOMP-A/BELLAIRE, OH.
WENK OF UNION CITY, INC. has closed on the sale of Oldies WENK-A/UNION CITY, TN; Top 40 WAKQ (KQ105) and Oldies WTPR-A/PARIS, TN; Oldies WTPR-F/MCKINNON, TN; and Top 40 WWKF (KF99)/FULTON, KY to FOREVER SOUTH LICENSES, LLC for $500,000.
E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD. has closed on the sale of K279CJ/FORT SMITH, AR (now K285GY.TYLER, TX) to SALT OF THE EARTH BROADCASTING, INC. for $70,000; the buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast Gospel KGLD-A (THE LIGHT)/TYLER, TX.
And FRED HANNEL has closed on the sale of K231CJ/NOGALES, AZ (now K241CS/PHOENIX) to SEWANEE PHOENIX LICENSEE, LLC and K260CJ/NOGALES (now K256CY/PHOENIX) to GABRIELLE BROADCASTING LICENSEE I, LLC for $1,000 each. The buyer is moving the translators to rebroadcast Religion KXEG-A (1280 THE TRUMPET)/PHOENIX, AZ and Silent KHEP-A/TEMPE-PHOENIX, AZ, respectively.
Also, MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of Classic Rock KMFG/NASHWAUK, MN to REFUGE MEDIA GROUP for $96,000. KALIL AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the deal.
And KERBY CONFER and DONALD ALT's FOREVER MEDIA has closed on the purchase of AC WCEI-F/EASTON, MD and Country WINX-F/CAMBRIDGE-EASTON, MD from FIRST MEDIA for $6.5 million. MICHAEL J. BERGNER of BERGNER AND CO. served as exclusive broker for the buyers, and LARRY PATRICK of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS represented the sellers.
