Kudos to ALPHA MEDIA Country WXCL (104.9 THE WOLF)/PEORIA, IL, which has raised $66,362 with "JOHN & JAYMIE’S RADIOTHON FOR ST. JUDE KIDS." THE WOLF staff broadcast from the ALPHA MEDIA building THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd and FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd for 12 hours each day. Nearly $7 million has been raised over the past 27 years during THE WOLF’s RADIOTHON.
Listeners were encouraged to call the REIMAN’s HARLEY-DAVIDSON PHONE BANK to donate and also become a PARTNER IN HOPE, receiving a free meal card from co-sponsor CHICK-FIL-A PEORIA. PARTNERS IN HOPE were also entered into a drawing to receive concert tickets, restaurant certificates, and signed guitars. One guitar was signed by GARY ALLEN, and the other is signed by the kids of ST. JUDE.
WXCL PD CHRIS MICHAELS commented: “Thank you to all the members of THE WOLF PACK that donated or became a PARTNER IN HOPE. It takes people like you to make miracles happen every day!" Added ST. JUDE Regional Development Representative CORRINE OLSON: “ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL is beyond grateful for the partnership that we have with 104.9 THE WOLF and ALPHA MEDIA. Their dedication to the annual radiothon is a testament to the passion they have for the kids of ST. JUDE."
