RAIN SUMMITS is producing a "RAIN Podcast Business Summit" in NEW YORK on JUNE 21st. The event will be keynoted by NPR CEO JARL MOHN and will include a presentation by EDISON RESEARCH on new research into voice-controlled technology and "smart speakers" like the AMAZON Echo and GOOGLE Home.
“Podcasting has grown enormously in audience awareness, listenership, and revenue over the past two years,” noted RAIN President BRAD HILL. “Many conferences and festivals have sprung up around the popularity of podcasting, featuring live performances, celebrity showcases, or technical information for producers. RAIN is the world’s leading knowledge organization for the business of digital audio, and the Podcast Business Summit is the only conference which encompasses the entire business opportunity of podcasting.”
“On-demand audio is a tremendously exciting category of digital audio, and we are thrilled to inaugurate the first RAIN Summit devoted exclusively to the business of podcasting,” said RAIN Founder KURT HANSON. “The impressive growth of podcasting proves its value to all stakeholders – listeners, creators, networks, and advertisers.”
