Bluelight Communications Bringing Another Urban To Rochester, NY

BLUELIGHT COMMUNICATIONS has purchased translator W288CS/FAIRPORT, NY from the RICHARD KIMBLE & PATRICIA ANDERSON Partnership. It will move into ROCHESTER, NY and rebroadcast on a HD subchannel of ENTERCOM’s 98.9 WBZA. The purchase price was $650,000.
BLUELIGHT is co-owned by veteran record executives LESTER PACE AND MANNY BELLA. PACE is known for his time at INTERSCOPE RECORDS in Urban promotions ;13 years as Regional and 4 as National Director. In radio, he did stints in HOUSTON as Pt/Mixshow for KHYS (KISS 98.5) and URBAN ONE’s KBXX (97.9 THE BOX).
BELLA owns the record promotions company CITIBOY ENTERTAINMENT; his resume includes ATLANTIC RECORDS SVP/Urban Promotions and MOTOWN RECORDS GM.
PACE told ALL ACCESS, “I’m excited, I love radio. I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. This time it will be more on the operational side. I’m just trying to rule my own destiny. We’re going into ROCHESTER to win. And yes, it will be Urban Mainstream. Everything is pending final approval.”
