ESPN and SIRIUSXM have inked a five-year extension of their distribution agreement, and included in that deal is the introduction of ESPNU RADIO ON SIRIUSXM, to debut THURSDAY (8/31) on channel 84 and incorporating some of the programming from the existing SIRIUSXM COLLEGE SPORTS NATION, including the weekday "THE FIRST TEAM," "FULL RIDE," "PLAYBOOK," and "OFF CAMPUS" and weekend "COLLEGE SPORTS SUNDAY" and "COLLEGE FOOTBALL SUNDAY."
The channel will simulcast ESPN college sports television shows including COLLEGE GAMEDAY, plus live game broadcasts and college-sports-related podcasts including the new podcast with KIRK HERBSTREIT and IAN FITZSIMMONS.
“SIRIUSXM has been a strong partner with us for 16 years now,” said ESPN SVP/Audio and Talent TRAUG KELLER. “With this new extension, we look forward to continuing to bring our unique and diverse content to SIRIUSXM. The addition of ESPNU RADIO to SIRIUSXM’s lineup will bring ESPNU’s signature perspective and the sounds of the game to a broader swath of fans.”
