Longtime broadcaster BILL GARDNER checks in with ALL ACCESS to share, "I go back to the days when JOEL DENVER was a 'Super Jock' at WFIL in my home town of PHILLY. After 45 years as mostly a morning radio personality and program executive, my final radio position was across the L.A. basin at AMATURO's 'JILL FM' in 2010; but I started on AMERICA's first full time rock and roll station on FM, KLZ-F/DENVER in 1965.
"LINDEE ROCHELLE just published a book ['Rock & Roll Radio DJs: The Swinging Sixties'] with stories old and new of dozens and dozens of radio names from 'back in the day.' There's radio station music surveys, new and old radio pictures, and even 'where are they today' when she's able. It's a broad sprectrum of radio stations all across AMERICA, so if you listened to the radio back then, there's probably names you know very well."
