BROADWAY MEDIA/SALT LAKE CITY Top 40 KUDD (MIX 105.1) morning co-host JON WATKINS and Alternative KXRK (X96)/SALT LAKE CITY morning co-host BILL ALLRED will lead a town hall style "OUT OF THE DARKNESS" live broadcast discussion on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th from 50 West Café with a panel of guests, which includes ATTORNEY GENERAL SEAN REYES, LT. GOVERNOR SPENCER COX and other leading local health experts who will address questions from participating high school students and listeners to start an open discussion about suicide prevention.
"After learning about the statistics of suicide in this state, I decided it was time for us to use our voice to shine a light on this growing health crisis," said BROADWAY MEDIA Pres. KAYVON MOTIEE. "This event is not about doom and gloom. This event is about starting a conversation no one wants to have and sharing the unbelievable and free resources that are available to anyone in despair. This broadcast is about hope."
OUT OF THE DARKNESS will be broadcast live across all BROADWAY/SLC stations -- MIX 105.1, X96, Top 40/Rhythmic KUUU (U92), Adult Hits KYMV (REWIND 100.7), Country KEGA (EAGLE 101.5), Sports KALL-A (ESPN 700), and KOVO-A (ESPN 960).
On SATURDAY (9/16) there will be an "OUT OF THE DARKNESS COMMUNITY WALK at LIBERTY PARK to fight suicide and raise awareness about mental health. Funds raised Will benefit the AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION.
