Report: Panoply Inks Deal With WME

SLATE's podcast network PANOPLY has signed a deal with entertainment agency WILLIAM MORRIS ENDEAVOR (WME) to work on adapting PANOPLY podcasts into films, TV shows, and live events, reports THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. PANOPLY shows include "MALCOLM GLADWELL'S REVISIONIST HISTORY," "THE MESSAGE." "YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS," "ANOTHER ROUND," "THE GIST WITH MIKE PESCA," "HANG UP AND LISTEN," "POLITICAL GABFEST," and many more, including distribution of BUZZFEED, WALL STREET JOURNAL, FIRST LOOK MEDIA, and POLITICO podcasts.
"We're dedicated to creating compelling content for our listeners and continue to invest in a wide variety of original programming, including highly produced nonfiction series, scripted comedy and drama, and culture and lifestyle podcasts," said PANOPLY CEO BRENDAN MONAGHAN. "We're thrilled to work with WME to bring these stories to new forms of media and entertainment."
WME also represents MIDROLL MEDIA, CROOKED MEDIA, "FREAKONOMICS RADIO" and "TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW" host and creator STEPHEN DUBNER, and TWO UP in the podcast space.
