BOB PANTANO, host of the SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY on CBS Classic Hits WOGL/PHILADELPHIA, announces the launch of a new FRIDAY night show with a newer mix of music on CBS sister station, AC WTDY.
FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE ON TODAY’S 96.5 will be hosted by DJ ERIC BARTELLO, who will be mixing Dance records from the new tracks to the throwbacks. PANTANO will be Executive Producer, allowing him to continue hosting his own FRIDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY in his native SOUTH PHILLY at POPI'S ITALIAN RESTAURANT.
“We’re expanding the brand,” said PANTANO. “We play a lot of this music, I see how popular it is, and it’s strong enough that we can break it off to its own show. There’s a need for good Dance music for what I call the Y Generation. They’ve gotten lost in the shuffle. They’re looking for the same experience the Baby Boomers had in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. Today’s dance party includes more music of that era than ever before. And the best part about it? Even my listeners enjoy dancing to it.”
PANTANO, a.k.a. "MR. SATURDAY NIGHT," is currently celebrating his 40th anniversary as host of the #1 Rated “SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY" on 98.1 WOGL. Next month, PANTANO will be inducted into the PHILADELPHIA MUSIC WALK OF FAME. He will also serve as the Grand Marshall for the 63rd Annual HERO THRILL SHOW at the WELLS FARGO CENTER.
