CBS RADIO Country WKIS/MIAMI afternoon personality BRIAN LAROCHE is leaving the station, effective FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th, for a position outside of radio. Said LAROCHE, "In a decision that surprised no one who knows me, I've decided to take my passion for the game of golf and turn it into a career. I've accepted a unique opportunity at PGA NATIONAL RESORT & SPA in PALM BEACH GARDENS, doing something I've wanted to do since I was in high school. The last two-plus years working for WKIS has been an honor, and I can't thank you enough for the great times. It's been an honor to be involved in events like the legendary Chili Cook-Off, Undercover Concerts, Stars & Guitars, and of course, the KISS 99.9 Cares For Kids Radiothon benefiting JOE DIMAGGIO Children's Hospital. I won't be relocating so we'll still see each other out and about at concerts and events around town, and I'm very much looking forward to that."
CBS RADIO/MIAMI VP/Programming and WKIS PD ROB MORRIS tells ALL ACCESS, "We wish BRIAN well with this new endeavor and thank him for his contributions. The search for his replacement has now begun, and we have the opening posted here." Evening personality DINA B will sub in afternoons while the search is conducted.
