Former Dimension Records Owner, Longtime Judds Manager Ken Stilts Dead At 81

ALL ACCESS extends condolences to family, friends, and colleagues of former DIMENSION RECORDS owner and longtime manager of THE JUDDS, KEN STILTS, who passed away on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th following a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was 81. STILTS was a NASHVILLE-area native who built his fortune in industrial manufacturing via his S&S INDUSTRIES before he took on his first music client, singer-songwriter EDDY RAVEN. DIMENSION was formed in 1979 to market RAVEN's music, and the label later turned out hits for RAY PRICE and SONNY JAMES. STILTS became the sole manager for THE JUDDS, who gave him the nickname, "BIG DADDY," before later taking on management clients that included CARL PERKINS and TERRY MCBRIDE. STILTS retired in 2012 and later when into assisted living as he struggled with Alzheimer's. STILTS' full obituary is available to view here.
A celebration of life is planned for STILTS on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th at 11a (CT) at BOND MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1098 Weston Drive, MT. JULIET, TN 37122. Visitation will be held WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th from 4p until 8p (CT), also at BOND MEMORIAL CHAPEL, and an additional hour of visitation will be open one hour prior to the celebration of life on THURSDAY.
