Podtrac Releases September Podcast Industry Audience Rankings

Same As Last Month

PODTRAC's SEPTEMBER 2017 ranking of podcast publishers has the same top 10 publishers in the same order. Total Global Unique Streams and Downloads for the top 10 were flat from AUGUST to SEPTEMBER but were up 76% year-to-year, with NPR up 57%,HOWSTUFFWORKS up 32%, and AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA up 28%.

The rankings, which, again, only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System for the full month (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:

3. RADIOTOPIA/PRX (3)
4. THIS AMERICAN LIFE/SERIAL (4)
5. HOWSTUFFWORKS (5)
6. ESPN (6)
7. THE NEW YORK TIMES (7)

9. BARSTOOL SPORTS (9)
10. AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA (10)
