THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS will perform at this year's STAND UP FOR HEROES (SUFH) benefit, which supports injured veterans and their families. The band joins a lineup of comedian including HASAN MINHAJ, JOHN MULANEY, TREVOR NOAH, CONAN O’BRIEN, JOHN OLIVER and JON STEWART. The 11th annual celebration will take place on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7th at the Theater at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.
STAND UP FOR HEROES -- which kicks off the NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL, which runs NOVEMBER 7th-12th, and takes place at venues throughout NEW YORK CITY -- is presented by THE BOB WOODRUFF FOUNDATION and THE NEW YORK COMEDY FESTIVAL (NYCF).
“THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bring so much energy to the stage and are one of my favorite bands. We’re humbled that they’re joining us at STAND UP FOR HEROES to honor those who’ve served,” ABC NEWS correspondent and BOB WOODRUFF FOUNDATION co-founder BOB WOODRUFF said. “THE CHILI PEPPERS, along with the comedians, will make this night incredibly impactful -- not only for those veterans sitting in the front rows, but for many more across the country, who will be empowered by the awareness and funds raised during the event.”
