BMG has switched worldwide distribution of NASHVILLE-based BBR MUSIC GROUP to ADA, the independent distribution and services arm of WARNER MUSIC GROUP (WMG). BBR MUSIC GROUP includes imprints BROKEN BOW RECORDS, STONEY CREEK RECORDS, and WHEELHOUSE RECORDS. The new deal follows the 2016 partnership between ADA and BMG, and BMG's acquisition of BBR MUSIC GROUP in JANUARY of this year (NET NEWS 1/30/17).
ADA will dedicate distribution, marketing, and label service resources in NASHVILLE and around the world to promote BBR MUSIC GROUP's artists. ADA’s first release with BBR is "Current Mood," the third studio album by DUSTIN LYNCH. Upcoming BBR MUSIC GROUP releases include albums from CHASE RICE and GRANGER SMITH.
“BROKEN BOW is a powerhouse, and we are looking forward to working closely with JON LOBA and the whole BBR MUSIC GROUP team to make sure Country music fans have access to their special brand of music not just locally, but nationally and internationally as well," said ADA Worldwide President ELIAH SETON. "We are doubling down on ADA’s efforts in NASHVILLE, with new staff and resources, and look forward to contributing to the rapid growth in the city.” Added LOBA, "Becoming part of BMG has allowed us to scale up our ambition both in the US and internationally. We are excited to now be able to enjoy the benefits of BMG’s partnership with ADA.”
