Congratulations to RCA NASHVILLE's CHRIS YOUNG for topping this week's Country albums chart, as "Losing Sleep" debuts with 39,000 equivalent album units, 32,000 of which were traditional album sales, according to NIELSEN MUSIC. YOUNG's seventh studio album also appears in the all-genre top 10, his fourth career showing there.
Right behind YOUNG on the Country chart and the all-genre list of albums is CAPITOL NASHVILLE's DARIUS RUCKER, whose "When Was The Last Time" opens with 34,000 equivalent units, 30,000 in traditional album sales. RUCKER's latest debut marks his fifth career trip inside the all-genre top 10 as a solo artist; he also appeared as a member of HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH.
