Condolences to family and friends of longtime PHILADELPHIA traffic reporter and SHADOW TRAFFIC co-founder ROD CARSON, whose family has announced via his FACEBOOK page has passed away of natural causes. He was 75 and passed away at his home in LEHIGHTON, PA.
CARSON was a fixture on DELAWARE VALLEY radio for his entire career, starting in high school at WCOJ-A/COATESViLLE, PA and later as a host at WAEB/ALLENTOWN and WIBG-A, WMMR, and others in PHILADELPHIA. He co-founded SHADOW TRAFFIC, one of the pioneering syndicated traffic services, with MICHAEL LENET in 1977 and was heard for many years as the traffic voice on WESTINGHOUSE/CBS RADIO News KYW-A/PHILADELPHIA.
