PREMIERE NETWORKS and FOX NEWS CHANNEL host SEAN HANNITY is the subject of a profile to appear in the NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE this week.
In "How Far Will SEAN HANNITY Go?," writer MATTHEW SHAER looks at HANNITY's unwavering support of President TRUMP, the host's approaches to radio and TV ("My thoughts are the same: I’m mad. But with television, I’ve got the images to help me out. With radio, it’s on me to paint the picture"), and behind-the-scenes descriptions of HANNITY's TV show. The article also examines HANNITY's changing classification of himself as a journalist ("I'm a journalist. But I'm an advocacy journalist, or an opinion journalist"), his distrust of mainstream reporters, and his motivations, tours his hometown of FRANKLIN SQUARE, LONG ISLAND, and describes the host's friendship with the President ("He’s firm in his support of the president, and woe unto you if you don’t see things the same way. He’s a shield," said FOX NEWS CHANNEL colleague GERALDO RIVERA"). It also includes the controversy over HANNITY's comments on the ROY MOORE underage sexual assault allegations and the resultant blowback that included pressure on advertisers and the infamous KEURIG smashing videos.
Read the profile here. And HANNITY has weighed in on the piece by noting that the picture used for the magazine cover, showing him with mouth open, isn't necessarily flattering:
So @nytimes takes 100’s and 100’s of pics. Obviously they picked the best one? https://t.co/6c0yV1lupe
