Heavy Rainfall Knocks WMJC & WBZO Off The Air

Due to heavy rainfall in the area during the past week, BARNSTABLE Hot AC WMJC (ISLAND 94.3) and sister Oldies WBZO (B-103.1)/LONG ISLAND had both of their transmitters knocked off the air as of 5:45a this morning (10/14). 

ISLAND 94.3 PD JON DANIELS Tells ALL ACCESS, "Our transmitter is currently under four feet of water!  We've ordered a new low power transmitter that should arrive by noon SATURDAY (10/15).  We're hoping to be back on the air full power within the week (weather permitting).  B-103 is currently back on the air with limited signal, but WMJC may not be back up and running until repairs can be completed."  

Both stations also received coverage on CABLE NEWS 12 to inform listeners of the transmitters being down.
