Kudos to iHEARTMEDIA Country KXKT (KAT 103.7)/OMAHA, which teamed up with WOODHOUSE AUTO FAMILY during the month of NOVEMBER to raise money and awareness for the FOOD BANK OF THE HEARTLAND's "BACKPACK PROGRAM." The program helps feed hungry children around NEBRASKA and WESTERN IOWA when other food resources are not available, including over the weekend when students do not have access to school-provided meals.
This morning (12/6), totals were announced for the on-air campaign, and WOODHOUSE AUTO FAMILY owners and employees, along with KXKT listeners, donated $1,080,576. That money will cover 6,576 backpacks for kids throughout the school year. "We're thrilled to be a part of such a great program that helps so many children around KAT COUNTRY," said KXKT PD HOSS MICHAELS.
