REGGIE OSSÉ, better known as COMBAT JACK, the attorney and podcaster who became a prominent figure in the hip-hop community, has passed away after a battle with colon cancer. He was 48.
JACK, a CORNELL and GEORGETOWN LAW graduate, began his law career as an intern for DEF JAM RECORDINGS in 1989 and represented several major artists including JAY-Z, later serving as VP at MTV NETWORKS and Managing Editor of THE SOURCE and writing about hip-hop for several websites before launching "THE COMBAT JACK SHOW" podcast, on which he interviewed many of the format's biggest celebrities, in 2010. The podcast led to JACK founding the LOUD SPEAKERS NETWORK podcast network in 2013. He revealed his cancer diagnosis in OCTOBER.
Combat Jack was one of the kindest and most honest people I’ve ever met. He had a heart of gold.
RIP, @Combat_Jack. You are missed.
