The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS' PILOT innovation initiative will offer a series of ten video “Broadcast Innovation Stories” in a campaign running through APRIL 2018 highlighting technological advances in the broadcast television and radio industries.
The series, available at https://nabpilot.org/innovationstories/, has launched with a look at TEGNA NBC affiliate KING-TV (KING5)/SEATTLE's virtual reality mini-documentary, to be followed by segments on HEARST's startup accelerator led by women, iHEARTMEDIA voice-powered platforms, NEWS PRESS & GAZETTE's plans for Next Gen TV, BONNEVILLE NBC affiliate KSL-TV/SALT LAKE CITY's "Radio You Can See" programming, NEXTRADIO, use of drones at WCBS/NEW YORK, and RAYCOM's national investigative reporting unit.
“Broadcasters have seen tremendous advances in technology in recent years that have improved our mission to provide local news, weather, entertainment and emergency information to our communities,” said PILOT Executive Director JOHN CLARK. “This campaign highlights the men and women who are developing the tools and processes that are changing local radio and television in new and exciting ways.”
