Apple Music Poised To Pass Spotify In Number Of Subscribers

Numerous outlets are reporting APPLE MUSIC is on pace to overtake SPOTIFY's number of U.S. subscribers. SPOTIFY has been the largest music streaming service globally for some time, with APPLE MUSIC now second. REUTERS notes, "APPLE MUSIC's U.S. subscribers grow about 5% monthly, while SPOTIFY's U.S. subscribers grow by about 2% monthly."

APPLE MUSIC told THE WALL STREET JOURNAL it has 36 million global subscribers, up from 30 million the company reported in SEPTEMBER. SPOTIFY reported in JANUARY that it had 70 million subscribers.
