The CHICAGO WHITE SOX have found a new radio home after the baseball club's contract with CUMULUS News-Talk WLS-A/CHICAGO was jettisoned in the CUMULUS bankruptcy proceedings, signing a new multiyear deal with TRIBUNE News-Talk WGN-A/CHICAGO just in time for the first exhibition game of Spring Training in ARIZONA on FEBRUARY 23rd. ED FARMER and DARRIN JACKSON return to call the games.
“What an honor it is to join the WHITE SOX family,” said WGN Station Manager & VP/Content TODD MANLEY. “SUMMER starts TODAY on WGN RADIO.”
“It’s a fantastic win for WHITE SOX fans,” added WHITE SOX SVP/Sales & Marketing BROOKS BOYER. “We are thrilled to team up with an iconic media organization in CHICAGO, delivering the hustle and passion of WHITE SOX games to WGN RADIO listeners throughout the city and MIDWEST.”
The SOX aired on WGN in 1927-43.
