KSBJ EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION has announced that, after 27 years of service, TIM MCDERMOTT has stepped down as President/GM of KSBJ/HOUSTON.
Under MCDERMOTT's leadereship, KSBJ has received various industry recognition, including NATIONAL RELIGIOUS BROADCASTERS RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR, CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTER's STATION OF THE YEAR and BEST CHRISTIAN WORKPLACE.
“I am grateful for my time at KSBJ," said MCDERMOTT. "The growth, the ratings, the ministry impact. Wow. What a joy it has been. In the last two years alone, we have seen 30 year dreams come true – including the addition of an FM station for the NEXT GENERATION NGEN and the upgrade of our KSBJ signal to reach over 1.7 million more people. I really felt like God was telling me that 2018 was a year of New Beginnings. In fact, I even wrote an article in the KSBJ newsletter about this. And that’s where I am. I have been here almost 27 years and I sense God is wanting to do something new.
"There are dreams in my heart that I have wanted to pursue and I believe now is the time. My passion for how God uses Christian music broadcasting has grown because I have seen the results. I love being a part of this industry. Beyond that I also have a passion to help other CEO’s be successful – in fundraising, leadership, working with their board and building strong organizations.”
