WIP/Philadelphia Sets "Virgin WIng Bowl"

There's going to be a new champion this year at INFINITY Sports WIP-A/PHILADELPHIA's "WING BOWL 14," because the chicken-wing-eating competition will be open only to first-timers this year. Morning host ANGELO CATALDI told listeners MONDAY (10/17) that previous contestants will not be eligible this year, making the FEBRUARY 3 event the "Virgin WING BOWL."

Also announced was the event's ticket sale, also a first, since previous WING BOWLs had been open for free admission. $5. tickets (with proceeds going to CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA) will go on sale SUNDAY (10/23) at TICKETMASTER and the WACHOVIA CENTER box office; CATALDI, co-host RHEA HUGHES, afternooner HOWARD ESKIN, and former EAGLE HUGH DOUGLAS will broadcast live from the ticket sale SUNDAY morning.
