FCC Proposes Fines Against Several Stations

In a flurry of Notices of Apparent Liability released MONDAY (11/27), the FCC has issued proposed fines of several stations for various rule violations. Among those cited:
-WVRM, INC., a proposed $10,000 fine for public-file violations at noncommercial Religion WDDM (89.3 NEW JERSEY CATHOLIC RADIO)/HAZLET, NJ.
-DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS, a proposed $2,000 fine for public-file violations at noncommercial Classical-Jazz WRCJ/DETROIT.
-NEW NORTHWEST BROADCASTERS LLC., a proposed $4,000 fine for public-file violations at Classic Rock KCRX/SEASIDE, OR.
-RADIO ONE, a proposed $10,000 fine for public-file violations at Rock WKAF (formerly Urban AC WILD-F)/BROCKTON-BOSTON.
-ROBERTO FELIZ, a proposed $1,500 fine for late renewal filing at Sports KRRP-A (THE GAME 950)/COUSHATTA, LA.
-FORT STANTON, INC., a proposed $1,500 fine for late renewal filing at low-power Variety KEDU-LP/RUIDOSO, NM.
-ALAN TOWLE, a proposed $1,500 fine for late renewal filing at translator K232BE/WAUSAU, WI.
-MOUNTAIN MIST MEDIA LLC., a proposed $1,500 fine for late renewal filing at Sports WTKI-A (ESPN 1450)/HUNTSVILLE.
-MORGAN COUNTY INDUSTRIES INC., a proposed $4,000 fine for operating Country WMOR-A (KICK 102.9, simulcast of WLKS)/MOREHEAD, KY at an unauthorized location.
-WRBX/WTNL INC., a proposed $14,000 fine for late renewal filing and unauthorized operation of silent WRBX and WTNL-A/REIDSVILLE, GA, but the licenses were renewed and permission to remain off the air was granted through SEPTEMBER 19, 2007.
