HOWARD STERN complained on MONDAY's show (10/17) that CBS Television is refusing to air SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO ads with STERN's name in them. STERN, responding to WXRK (92.3 K-ROCK)/NEW YORK GM TOM CHIUSANO's protestations that today's show once again started with a half-hour "commercial" for SIRIUS, said that CBS said that "the mere mention of (STERN's) name is an obscenity." STERN says he will call CBS chief LES MOONVES to investigate, and CHIUSANO said he didn't know anything about the alleged ban.
STERN, who planned shows on the air for obsequious fan "DOUBLE A" (interviewing STERN's girlfriend BETH OSTROSKY) and "wack packers" KING OF ALL BLACKS and ANGRY BLACK on his SIRIUS channels, also said that DAVID LEE ROTH is doing "practice shows" at sister WCBS-F (101.1 JACK FM)'s studios and threatened to play tapes of the practice runs on his show. STERN has set THURSDAY (10/20) for a 24 hour broadcast on SIRIUS of regular caller "WENDY THE RETARD" and later in MONDAY's show proposed weighing the bowel movements of "wack packer" HIGH PITCH ERIK on the air at SIRIUS.
