"If I didn't want that, I'd be lying." That's PREMIERE syndicated "THE BOBBY BONES SHOW" host BOBBY BONES, responding to a question from VARIETY about developing more television work. He's been serving as a mentor on this season's "AMERICAN Idol" reboot, which airs on ABC-TV (NET NEWS 2/21). BONES continued his reply, adding, "There are some projects that have popped up that are pretty enticing to me. I just don't want to get involved in something that I don't feel is kind of rooted for success."
BONES is not the only one thinking "AMERICAN Idol" won't be a one-off TV experience for him. ABC SVP/Alternative Series ROB MILLS is also quoted in the VARIETY piece, saying, "BOBBY is someone who has been on our radar for quite some time ... He is someone we've been looking for the perfect vehicle for. We are so excited that he will get introduced to a broader audience, and by no means will this be his last appearance on ABC."
The Q&A piece posted on SUNDAY (4/15) also covers his role on "Idol;" how the gig came about; and his role in breaking MAREN MORRIS, KELSEA BALLERINI, and CAM as artists. Read the entire article here.
