iHEARTMEDIA has reverted Top 40 KPWK/SEATTLE back to its iconic calls, KUBE 93.3, as "SEATTLE’s No. 1 for Hip-Hop," effective immediately. The station debuts with 14,000 commercial-free songs in a row, featuring music by DRAKE, RIHANNA, POST MALONE, CARDI B, THE WEEKND, MIGOS and more.
On-air, CARLA MARIE & ANTHONY stay on in the morning; they will be joined by SHAY in middays, ERIC ROSADO during the afternoon drive and BOOTLEG KEV in the evenings.
“An iconic brand has been missing in SEATTLE radio,” iHEARTMEDIA/SEATTLE Region Pres. ROBERT DOVE said. “KUBE is a name that's been part of SEATTLE's music conscience and lifestyle for over 20 years. Listeners have spoken how they've missed KUBE. Well SEATTLE, KUBE is back!”
“We heard you loud and clear, SEATTLE,” iHEARTMEDIA/WEST Division EVP/Programming ANDREW JEFFRIES said. “Hip-Hop and KUBE 93.3 are back, and we’re giving you 14,000 songs in a row -– commercial-free. This is how you welcome back a legend!”
With the format flip, sister Hot AC KBKS and Top 40/Mainstream KPWK/SEATTLE PD JUSTIN RILEY and APD HUNTER QUINN have left the building.
