FORBES has unveiled their listing of "The World's Highest-Paid Country Music Stars Of 2018," and CAPITOL NASHVILLE's LUKE BRYAN reigns supreme at the top of the list. BRYAN leapt from last year's number four spot on the list to grab the crown for 2018 (NET NEWS 7/12/17).
With $52 million in pretax pay, most of it coming from his tour schedule, BRYAN edged out last year's FORBES list leader, PEARL RECORDS' GARTH BROOKS, who earned $45.5 million pre-tax, despite wrapping his WORLD TOUR in DECEMBER. BLUE CHAIR/WARNER BROS./WEA's KENNY CHESNEY is in the third position with $37 million, followed closely by SOUTHERN GROUND/ELEKTRA/WAR's ZAC BROWN BAND (ZBB) in the number four slot with $31 million. Rounding out FORBES' top five is WARNER BROS./WMN's BLAKE SHELTON with $28 million. For the full list, check out the FORBES article here.
