Charese Fruge Named Urban One Top 40 Format Captain; Takes PD Posts At KROI And WNOW

Programming veteran CHARESE FRUGE has been named URBAN ONE Top 40 Format Captain and will also handle PD duties for Top 40s KROI/HOUSTON and WNOW/INDIANAPOLIS.

CHARESE is already on duty and will be based out of WNOW, but will make frequent trips into H-TOWN.

CHARESE told ALL ACCESS, "I'm very excited to be a part of the RADIO ONE FAMILY and to work with such great brands. The leadership and talent in this company is inspiring and I am so thrilled to be working with DJ RIDDLER again in both markets. Programming in HOUSTON again is bittersweet and PETYTON MANNING won a SUPER BOWL for INDY, a fantastic reminder that every day is game day in this business."

Also, KROI MD DJ RIDDLER has added APD stripes for both KROI and WNOW.  He told ALL ACCESS, "CHARESE and I are re-united as we both worked together previously at CBS Radio Top 40 KKHH/HOUSTON."

FRUGE also has HOUSTON programming chops from KHMX and KKBQ, as well as successful PD runs at KYSR/LOS ANGELES, KLLC/SAN FRANCISCO, KALC/DENVER, KMXB and KXTE/LAS VEGAS, and WEZB/NEW ORLEANS.

TERRI THOMAS continues as OM for the HOUSTON Market and as PD for Urban AC KMJQ and Top 40/Rhythmic KBXX.
