While the transaction has not yet reached the FCC database, WINDY CITY BROADCASTING has sold W236CG/BOLINGBROOK, IL and W236CF/CHICAGO to LAMONT WATTS' FUTURE VISION ENTERTAINMENT for $3.5 million. The translators, located on the WILLIS TOWER and in ELMWOOD PARK, relay WLEY-HD2/CHICAGO, formerly Rock "THE HOUND" and now airing WATTS' online "CLUBSTEPPIN" Dance format.
In transactions filed with the FCC, DANIEL B. and ALANA HATFIELD are selling 60% of TWIN PORTS RADIO, LLC, licensee of Sports KJOQ-A-W265DO (THE JOCK)/DULUTH, MN and Sports WWAX ((92.1 THE FAN)/HERMANTOWN, MN to J. DAVID LINDER and DWAYNE MEGAW for $14. DANIEL HATFIELD is selling 10% of the company and will retain 40%; ALANA HATFIELD is selling her entire 50%, and LINDER will take a 40% interest for payment of $10 and MEGAW 20% for a $4 payment.
Applying for STAs were WEST CENTRAL MICHIGAN MEDIA MINISTRIES (WUPJ/ESCANABA, MI, reduced power due to burned-out intermediate power amplifier) and FLORIDA EDUCATIONAL RADIO, INC. (WWJJ/JASPER, FL, reduced power from studio location after losing licensed site).
Requesting an extension of Silent STAs were CUMULUS LICENSING LLC (KRWP/STOCKTON, CA, financial problems) and CUMULUS' RADIO LICENSE HOLDING CBC, LLC (KNEK/WASHINGTON, LA, transmitter replacement delayed by CUMULUS bankruptcy).
SPOKANE TRANSLATOR ASSOCIATION has filed for a Silent STA for KFVS-LP/SPOKANE, WA while it moves.
And BRANTLEY BROADCAST ASSOCIATES, LLC has closed on the sale of Oldies WPHH/HOPE HULL-MONTGOMERY, AL to RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. for $450,000.
