ALL ACCESS extends condolences to family, friends, and former colleagues of veteran songwriter RONNIE SAMOSET, who passed away on SUNDAY, JULY 29th. He was 71. SAMOSET penned songs that were recorded by KENNY ROGERS, RANDY TRAVIS, LINDA RONSTADT, RICKY VAN SHELTON, TANYA TUCKER, DIAMOND RIO, EMMYLOU HARRIS, SAMMY KERSHAW, NEAL MCCOY, MICHELLE WRIGHT, LITTLE TEXAS, and more. Among his best-known hits are "I'm That Kind Of Girl" for PATTY LOVELESS, "A Jukebox With A Country Song" for DOUG STONE, and multiple collaborations with songwriter MATRACA BERG. SAMOSET also penned several songs with CRAIG WISEMAN, DAVE LOGGINS, CHUCK CANNON, and others in addition to his solo writing credits.
SAMOSET's passing was announced in THE BRADENTON HERALD on SUNDAY, AUGUST 19th, and a celebration of life was held in BRADENTON, FL on SUNDAY, AUGUST 26th. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in SAMOSET's name to a charity of your choice; condolences may be sent here.
