Longtime Sony Exec Roy Wunsch Has Passed Away

ALL ACCESS extends condolences to family, friends, and former colleagues of industry veteran and longtime CBS RECORDS/SONY/NASHVILLE executive ROY WUNSCH, who passed away FRIDAY, AUGUST 31st following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. WUNSCH was 75. In addition to his long-tenured presence at SONY/NASHVILLE, where he eventually rose to become the first SONY NASHVILLE Pres., WUNSCH also chaired the Boards of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) and the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME (CMHOF). WUNSCH's career spanned more than 30 years, during which time he supported the careers of DOLLY PARTON, MARTY STUART, RICKY VAN SHELTON, JOHNNY CASH, WILLIE NELSON, MARY CHAPIN CARPENTER, RICKY SKAGGS, and many others.
Services will be held at CATHEDRAL OF THE INCARNATION (2015 West End Ave., NASHVILLE) on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th at 3:30p (CT). A Celebration Of Life will be held immediately following at the FLEMING CENTER next door. Private burial is scheduled for the following day.
