FRIDAY's filings in the FCC database found no new station transactions on tap.
In the filings that made it to the Commission, CUMULUS spinoff trust THE MAINSTAY STATION TRUST LLC has filed for an STA to operate Country WNUQ (102.1 NASH ICON)/SYLVESTER-ALBANY, GA with reduced power due to transmitter problems.
SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA, LLC has requested an STA to operate Country KMIT/MITCHELL, SD with reduced power due to a lightning strike at its antenna.
SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF SOUTH DAKOTA, LLC has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for WBSG-A/LAJAS, PR, which counsel for the licensee believes has been off the air since Hurricane Maria but has been unable to confirm due to communications problems.
EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has filed for extensions of its Silent STAs for boosters WCAD-FM1/FAJARDO, PR and WCAD-FM/JUANA DIAZ, PR, knocked off the air by Hurricane Maria.
And BIRACH BROADCASTING CORP. has surrendered the licenses of WBVA-A/BAYSIDE, VA and WVAB-A/VIRGINIA BEACH, VA after two aborted attempts to donate the licenses, once to MMTC BROADCASTING LLC and then, within a month, to BELIEVE & ACHIEVE FAMILY & EDUCATION CENTER INC. The licenses had been designated for hearing in JANUARY due to the stations being silent for excessive periods, and BIRACH had filed numerous Silent STA applications since acquiring the stations in 2007 for $275,000.
