DALLAS radio vet NATHAN FAST has joined CUMULUS Country KPLX (99.5 THE WOLF)/DALLAS for mornings, newly-branded as "NATHAN FAST AND THE WAKE UP WITH THE WOLF SHOW," set for a MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th debut. Longtime WOLF morning co-host LISA TAYLOR remains on the show. FAST succeeds TREY MORGAN, who previously announced he'd be leaving the show with an original WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31st departure (NET NEWS 7/25).
"NATHAN is an amazing, creative talent wrapped around the passion and work ethic of four people," said WOLF PD MAC DANIELS. "With his leadership skills and winning spirit, we’re excited about the bright future for 'NATHAN FAST AND WAKE UP WITH THE WOLF MORNING SHOW' on one of AMERICA’s leading Country music brands. We’re excited to hear him and LISA TAYLOR together in the morning."
FAST was most recently hosting mornings on former CBS-RADIO Crosstown Top 40 KVIL (AMP 103.7) until last NOVEMBER, when new owners ENTERCOM flipped it to Alternative (ALT 103.7). Previous radio stops include Top 40 outlets KHTS/SAN DIEGO and KIIS/LOS ANGELES. "I have so much respect for the history of 99.5 THE WOLF, and I’m thrilled to have the privilege of waking up DALLAS-FORT WORTH every morning on this great station," said FAST. "I want to thank MAC DANIELS, [Market Mgr.] DAN BENNET, [CUMULUS VP/Programming/Operations] DOUG HAMAND, and [EVP/Content/Programming] MIKE MCVAY for entrusting me with the keys to one of Country’s most legendary brands. Time to get to work!"
