CROSSING BROAD's KYLE SCOTT and the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER's ROB TORNOE are reporting that longtime former ENTERCOM Sports WIP/PHILADELPHIA morning producer and fill-in host MARC FARZETTA, who left the station in JUNE to focus on co-hosting "PHILLY SPORTS TALK" on cable's NBC SPORTS PHILADELPHIA, is joining WIP's rival, BEASLEY Sports WPEN (97.5 THE FANATIC), and TORNOE has FARZETTA replacing morning host ANTHONY GARGANO on THE FANATIC.
According to TORNOE, GARGANO's last day on THE FANATIC's morning show was THURSDAY and no mention was made of his absence on TODAY's show with BOB COONEY and EYTAN SHANDER. If the reports are accurate, FARZETTA, at WIP since 2005 and also a member of the production crew on NBC's "SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" since 2007, will be taking on his longtime colleagues at WIP, morning host ANGELO CATALDI and co-hosts AL MORGANTI and RHEA HUGHES. ALL ACCESS has reached out to WPEN PD ERIC JOHNSON for comment.
