Imaging pro TREVOR SHAND, whose work is heard on ENTERCOM Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES and ROGERS RADIO in CANADA, is someone whose love for horror extends to building a unique secret Victorian-style radio broadcast studio hidden behind a bookcase in his BURBANK home, and to co-hosting a horror podcast, and that podcast has a special episode out TODAY (10/12) just in time for, and especially appropriate for, HALLOWEEN.
Composer DANNY ELFMAN is the guest on the new edition of "THE BOO CREW," which SHAND hosts with wife LAUREN (former assistant producer of the syndicated LOVELINE), RANCID singer TIM ARMSTRONG, filmmakers AUSTIN WILKIN and RACHEL TEJADA, and molecular biologist (!) LEONE D'ANTONIO. ELFMAN is, of course, the man behind the music for TIM BURTON's films, as well as the leader of OINGO BOINGO, whose "Dead Man's Party" remains one of the top HALLOWEEN anthems. The appearance, including ELFMAN's stories of growing up a horror fan, his macabre collection of memorabilia, and his work with BURTON, promotes ELFMAN's upcoming live appearances at the HOLLYWOOD BOWL, performing the soundtrack of "THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS" with a full orchestra while the classic film plays on the big screen.
