San Diego Now Market #16, Charlotte #23 As Nielsen Releases Fall 2018 Rankings

NIELSEN has released the latest Fall 2018 population rankings, with several changes in the Top 100 markets.
The biggest market to make a move is #16, where SAN DIEGO (formerly #17) passes PUERTO RICO. #16 TAMPA (formerly #19) slips past DENVER and #23 CHARLOTTE (formerly #24) moves past ST. LOUIS. NIELSEN is also listing a tie at #25, with SAN ANTONIO and RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO listed as 2,118,300.
There were bigger moves in smaller markets, with GAINESVILLE-OCALA, FL moving past LITTLE ROCK, AR to become market #87. LAKELAND-WINTER HAVEN, FL is up from #91 to #88; MADISON, WI jumps ten spots, from #101 to #91; and RENO rises from #99 to #96.
A couple of notable moves down, as SYRACUSE, NY drops from #94 to #98 and PORTLAND, ME slides from #96 to #99.
