VERNON C. FLOYD, who founded CIRCUIT BROADCASTING CO. and its WORV-A/HATTIESBURG, MS, died NOVEMBER 24th at 91.
FLOYD founded WORV in 1969 as the first African-American-owned and operated radio station in MISSISSIPPI. He later added Gospel WGDQ/SUMRALL, MS and Urban WJMG (G92.1)/HATTIESBURG and owned all three stations at the time of his passing.
