To close out the year, APPLE MUSIC’s editors have awarded highest honors to the artists who, "truly represent the very best of 2018." DRAKE owns the Artist of the Year category while MCA NASHVILLE's KACEY MUSGRAVES scores Album Of The Year for her "Golden Hour." The collaboration between CARDI B, J. BALVIN, and BAD BUNNY made “I Like It” the choice for Song Of The Year and Breakout Artist JUICE WRLD has been giving everyone “Lucid Dreams” all year long.
When asked who she would award the 2018 album of the year MUSGRAVES said, “My favorite release of 2018 was from my husband, RUSTON KELLY. His record, 'Dying Star,' is an emotional and sparse conglomeration of influences from all over the map. It sounds like him, but also sounds like JACKSON BROWNE had a musical baby with ELLIOT SMITH and WEEZER. I’ve seen RUSTON live out and overcome the dark times that inspired the song, so that makes listening to it even more beautiful."
Song Of The Year winner J BALVIN said, "The song of the year for me is 'GOD’s Plan,' because of the message and the video, a real and inspiring video.”
