Mel Wheeler, Inc. Pres./GM Leonard Wheeler Appointed To NAB Radio Board

New Board Member

MEL WHEELER, INC. President/GM LEONARD WHEELER has been appointed to the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS' Radio Board of Directors. WHEELER was appointed by Chairman RANDY GRAVLEY to the seat vacated by HOWARD UNIVERSITY Urban AC WHUR/WASHINGTON's JIM WATKINS, who retired.

WHEELER developed MEL WHEELER, INC. with his father and two brothers and took over as GM at AC WSLQ (Q99) and WSLC-A (now Sports WPLY-A)/ROANOKE in 1992. The company now owns six FMs in the ROANOKE-LYNCHBURG-NEW RIVER VALLEY region, including Country WSLC-F, two AMs, and two HD2-translator combos.
