Glenn Beck Pays Off $27,000 Worth Of Layaways For Customers At Texas Walmart

PREMIERE NETWORKS and BLAZE MEDIA host GLENN BECK has joined the ranks of celebrities paying off strangers' holiday gift layaway purchases, reports the DALLAS MORNING NEWS.

BECK walked into the WALMART in NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX and paid $27,000 to clear layaway customers' debts; the host said he was inspired by TYLER PERRY's similar act, paying off over $400,000 of layaway debts at two ATLANTA WALMARTS.  KID ROCK has also done the same, and BECK is encouraging other conservative commentators to follow suit.

BECK, through his MERCURY ONE charity, has also donated $50,000 towards a $9.2 million debt owed by the ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM in SPRINGFIELD, IL for the purchase of LINCOLN artifacts, reports the ASSOCIATED PRESS.
