Joe Stapleton, Traffic Reporter At WBZ And WAAF/Boston, Dies At 55

Condolences to family and friends of iHEARTMEDIA News WBZ-A/BOSTON traffic reporter JOE STAPLETON, who died suddenly on TUESDAY (1/1) at 55, according to the station.
“JOE was our overnight traffic reporter here at WBZ,” said Operations Director BILL FLAHERTY. “He never walked through the door without a smile and friendly greeting for everyone he met.”
STAPLETON. who appeared as an actor in several NEW ENGLAND-shot movies including "SPOTLIGHT," "MANCHESTER BY THE SEA," and "MYSTIC RIVER," also did traffic for ENTERCOM Active Rock WAAF's "HILL-MAN MORNING SHOW" as "Major Dick"; that show's Producer MIKE HSU told WBZ that STAPLETON "was a funny and kind gentleman.”
