WNNX (Rock 100.5)/Atlanta Replaces WYAY As Braves' FM Game Coverage Simulcast Partner

ATLANTA BRAVES baseball will air on CUMULUS Rock WNNX (ROCK 100.5)/ATLANTA this season, replacing soon-to-be-former-sister News-Talk WYAY (TALK 106.7) as the full-signal FM simulcast of game coverage from team flagship DICKEY BROADCASTING Sports WCNN-A-W229AG (680 THE FAN).  The team mentioned the change in a release rounding up "what's new at SUNTRUST PARK" this season.  ROCK 100.5 carried the BRAVES in 2010-2013, airing play-by-play originating from THE FAN.

The BRAVES' move is in anticipation of the closing of the sale of WYAY to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION, which will flip the signal to one of its Contemporary Christian satellite formats upon closing.  The BRAVES simulcast on a full-market FM to compensate for WCNN's smaller coverage at night and with the 250-watt FM translator.
