RAB/BMI/MIW 'Rising Through The Ranks' Program Sets Agenda, Open For Scholarship Applications

The RADIO ADVERTISING BUREAU, BMI, and the MENTORING AND INSPIRING WOMEN IN RADIO (MIW) GROUP has announced the details of the 12th annual “Rising Through the Ranks” seminar for women in radio sales and management. This year's seminar will take place AUGUST 13-15 at BMI's NASHVILLE office; BMI will offer 20 scholarships for the program.
The agenda will include sessions called "Modern Female Manager – Juggling it all"; "Managing Up and Down"; "Advancement & Getting that Promotion"; "Budgeting and Forecasting"; "Recruiting, Hiring, and Firing"; "Culture... Healthy vs. Toxic?"; and "Building Your Personal Brand." Speakers will include iHEARTMEDIA's HARTLEY ADKINS, the RAB's ERICA FARBER and GEORGIA BEASLEY; XPERI's JOE D'ANGELO; COX MEDIA GROUP's KIM GUTHRIE and BILL HENDRICH; ENTERCOM/MEMPHIS' AMY HUGHES; MEDIA STAFFING NETWORK's LAURIE KAHN; ENTERCOM's SUSAN LARKIN and JENNIFER MORELLI; MIW President DENYSE MESNIK; BRANDOVATION's VAL MAKI; HUBBARD's GINNY MORRIS; NEUHOFF MEDIA's BETH NEUHOFF; BMI's DAN SPEARS; and EMMIS' ERIKA SYLVIA.
"Fostering the development and advancement of emerging female leaders is crucial to the future of the radio industry," said MESNIK. "Rising Through the Ranks is a hallmark event for MIW RADIO GROUP, with a proven track record of nurturing and building relationships amongst up and coming female leaders."
