Changes At WICC/Bridgeport Include PD Mike Bellamy's Exit, Melissa Skeketoff Joining Morning Show

With CONOISSEUR MEDIA taking over News-Talk WICC-A/BRIDGEPORT, CT under an LMA in advance of its acquisition of the station in a swap with CUMULUS, PD and morning co-host MIKE BELLAMY has exited the station. BELLAMY, in a post on FACEBOOK, thanked friends and listeners and confirmed, "Yes my time at WICC has come to an end."  He joined WICC in 2007 and has also freelanced as a SPORTSCENTER update anchor at ESPN RADIO.

TONY RENO is continuing in mornings 5-10a (ET), joined by recent hire MELISSA SHEKETOFF, who joined the station after returning to CONNECTICUT with her family from CBS affiliate WCAX-TV and News-Talk WDEV-A/BURLINGTON, VT and doing fill-in at WICC, where she started her career as an intern; she said in a FACEBOOK video that she was hired earlier this year to create a local afternoon show ("DIALED IN WITH MELISSA SHEKETOFF"), accepting the offer in MARCH, but a week before the launch, the station swap changed the original plans.
