ELOHIM GROUP CORPORATION is swapping W231CX/SHIRLEY, NY and W232CK/GARY, IN to CENTRO CRISTIANO DE VIDA ETERNA for the construction permit for a new full-power FM at MATAGORDA, TX. The translators' primary stations are listed as COX MEDIA GROUP Top 40 WBLI/PATCHOGUE, LONG ISLAND, NY and PROGRESSIVE BROADCASTING SYSTEM Contemporary Christian WFRN/ELKHART, IN.
In other filings with the FCC, LBI MEDIA, INC.'s LIBERMAN BROADCASTING, INC.and LBI RADIO LICENSE LLC have filed to transfer its licenses back from debtor-in-possession status as the company emerges from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
CLEAR MEDIA, LLC has applied for an STA to operate WNOO-A/CHATTANOOGA with a temporary wire antenna after its tower was toppled by a city work crew severing a guy wire.
SOUTHWEST BROADCASTING, INC. has filed for an STA to operate WBKN/BROOKHAVEN, MS with reduced power due to lightning damage.
IGLESIA NUEVA VIDA OF HIGH POINT, INC. has requested an STA to operate WRJR-A/CLAREMONT, VA with reduced power due to a fire that damaged one of the station's four towers.
COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS, LLC has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for W298BI/FLORENCE, SC due to equipment failure.
FAMILY STATIONS, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for W233AD/ROCKFORD, IL due to equipment problems.
And ZETA HOLDINGS, LLC (YOREM LIMITED PARTNERSHIP) has closed on the sale of Silent KQMB/LEVAN, UT, Silent KSRR-A/PROVO, UT, and K244DH/FORT DOUGLAS, UT to FRANKLYN H. MUELLER's JJIE CORPORATION for $100,000.
Also, the FCC has reinstated SHELLEY BROADCASTING CO., INC.'s license for WGEA-A/GENEVA, AL and METROPOLITAN MANAGEMENT CORP. OF TENNESSEE's license for WNPZ-A/KNOXVILLE, TN, both of which were cancelled under the "red light" rules for failure to pay delinquent fees to the FCC. However, the Commission also issued show cause orders requiring the licensees to pay the fees or demonstrate why the payments should be waived or deferred. In SHELLEY's case, the licensee said that its failure to pay arose from a long-running dispute with the IRS over a tax refund; METROPOLITAN said it entered twice into payment programs and paid until unable to do so. In each case, the Commission said that its staff had the authority to dismiss the stations' renewal applications, but the timely filing of the application by law keeps the license in effect.
Notices of Unlicensed Operation have been issued to YOHANY BONILLA and GINA TORRES (both 99.3 FM, PATERSON, NJ).
And a Notice of Violation has been issued to DENNIS WALLACE, receiver for KWUL/ELSBERRY, MO, for an EAS violation; the station was found by an FCC agent not to be monitoring the broadcast stations to which it was assigned, but only monitoring FEMA's IPAWS.
